Handily playing to their sense of global unification (they are called Atlas, chump), this debut-release from the British newcomers seems set to cement the band's worldly prestige.
... And, cunningly, there's a deeply Scandinavian/Northern European perk in Atlas' breezy indie-pop - a touch of The Cardigans, a pinch of Bjork, a dashing of Mew, yet strummy electric-guitars and lurching lyrics ('No assurance will save us') combine and form the consensus of a rather doting, mini pop-extravaganza - and one tough to dismiss.
