Richard Ashcroft - 'Science Of Silence' (Hut)

Richard Ashcroft - 'Science Of Silence'

'We are on a rock, spinning silently,' marvels Sir Ashcroft at the state of our collective home-place; and, whilst his increasingly self-exploratory subject-matter, as demonstrated in recent material, may prove just a wee bit simple, at least we have a solo-musician openly willing to discover the fundamentals that we take for granted on a daily basis. And that such lyrical-inquisition is accompanied with a sound-scope of something as boldly beautiful and strings-driven as 'Science of Silence' is merely the listener and performer's safe, comforting haven alike.

Still epic and hopelessly predictable, ole Rick continues to serenade the masses with a blissful art others will fail to produce over and over. Don't look elsewhere for your lush thrills - stick with Rick, for he still paints a fine picture.
