Containing a bass-line so fat it'd get chucked off a Weight Watchers course as soon as it entered the room, the UK press' newly-appointed 'coolest band on the planet' (hang on, wasn't that The Strokes? Oh well...) return with a single that well and truly justifies their love.
'Spread Your Love', the band's third 45 from their eponymous debut-LP, is the very embodiment of dirty, low-slung rock n' roll - and, really, it must be said that only Americans could make this kind of thing sound so good.
