The Briefs come complete with comedy rock-names (their bassist is emblazoned Lance Romance), a back-catalogue containing a single entitled 'I Think My Baby Is A Communist', and a 1977 wardrobe; even this so-authentic-it-hurts single from the Seattle quartet initially threatens to morph into The Undertones' 'Teenage Kicks', before anglicised 'whoa-ohs' take centre-stage.
Still, makes a change for an American band to wear its Brit influences - however dated - on its sleeve, rather than the other way 'round.
