Caesars - 'Jerk It Out' (Virgin)

Scandinavia's Caesars make for one baffling conundrum: a four-member army of classic organ-swirling pop, upfront vocals and an overbearing rigidity and order that suggests any sense of accompanying fun was merely an unintended by-product.
Even still, it creates one of spring's better single-releases - an immediate pop-dosage of raging keys and echoing utterances that ring the same resonance as a classic reggae record. Diverse, inoffensive and alone in its craft - you wouldn't have it any other way, only bettered by the naturally barmy live-show.
