The conversion of The Coral from irresistible conveyors of all the best parts from the 60s-70s-90s through to winsome, country-boy straw-suckers has been a swift, albeit delectable, one.
'Pass It On' follows on where previous single, 'Don't Think You're The First', left off; whirling keyboards and lilting, strumming folk-guitars, with an ambient, almost purr-like performance from vocalist James Skelly. Hardly the most uproarious of their endeavours. But, certainly, one of their most rewarding.
