Dirty Vegas - 'Ghosts' (Parlophone)

3/5

By: Matt Tomiak

Dirty Vegas comprise three South London house-music fans - in the form of Paul, Steve and Ben - and have been creating quite a stir Stateside lately, following their 'Days Go By' being chosen by a top car-firm to appear on a TV ad. Their soon-to-come LP, consequentially, has been tipped for special things.

Until then, though, we have 'Ghosts' - a more serene version of Daft Punk, albeit, complete with non-repetitive/audible lyrics. Probably nestling comfortably in one of those ultra-precise dance sub-genres such as Post-prog-ambient (maybe, anyway), it's as pleasantly soothing as it is danceable. And, as long as it's not within that ghastly league of recent 'chill-out' monster-hits, then that's all that matters.
