Dirty Vegas - 'Simple Things' (Parlophone)

One of the highlights from London dance-purveyors Dirty Vegas' debut, eponymous album, 'Simple Things' is the Grammy Award winners at their most bittersweet melodic and, of course, airplay-friendly.
For those currently unaccustomed, DV may seem the sleepiest of the present wave of creative songsters, yet this no less takes away from their repute; heart-tugging balladry, and a moving vocal-performance to boot, although the edge of their sword may be far from a jagged one, their sense of blissful, nigh-on hippie-dom is a seldom-fraught embellishment in a so-usually stagnant genre.
