Perhaps it's correct that a track inclusive of the line 'Girls are pretty/Girls are nice/Take your chances/Roll the dice' opens with the exact same drum/cymbal-strains and tempo as Isaac Hayes' 'Shaft'.
Oh dear. Yes, Electric Six are back, then - third single in tow, and it's a club-rockin', synth-blarin', ironic-as-anoraks piece of rock-noise masterclass: camp as it is euphoric (or maybe the two are somehow linked?), and joyously rousing as it is pathetic. Hardly scaling the skyward-heights of their prior two classic singles 'Danger! High Voltage' and 'Gay Bar', at least E6 have defied the cynics and hung around with us for this long - still sounding necessary.
