With the year being but a week old when this hilarious, outrageous and truly excellent single is unleashed on a well-suspecting public, it sure does bode well for the health of Planet Rock in 2003.
'Danger! High Voltage' is one of those records that it is truly impossible to dislike. Why? That fantastically demented title; the slinky, funky opening which transforms into a howling, fervent guitar-animal; the impassioned shrieks of 'FIRE IN THE DISCO!'; the fact that we know precious little of the band themselves, other than that their guitarist goes by the name of The Rock And Roll Indian... Sheesh, could it possibly get any better? Well, they are fronted by a Mr. Dick Valentine... So, yes.
Don't think. Just purchase.
