Fur Patrol - 'Enemy' (Universal)

3/5

By: Samantha Hall

Fur Patrol

From a prestigious Ozzy home at Universal Records and a stunt of hot support places to the likes of the hugely reputable The Vines and Dandy Warhols, 'Enemy' is the tightly produced, shimmering UK debut from rising starlets Fur Patrol.

Soaring above the cacophony and never coming down, frontwoman Julia Dean's sultry yet seldom forced vocals are the ideal soundtrack to peel a lady's stockings off to - distinctly intense yet refreshingly feminine. This subtle sensuality leads onto a surprising second track, 'Something You Really Want' sets them up as a perfect Jet support; breathy, swaggering growls and off-the-shoulder shimmies a-plenty.

Agreeably, this 12" should be pumping out under the doors of Uni halls around the nation, or at the very least receiving bopping crowds at V Festival this Summer... Perhaps even being sprawled all over our tellys in a mobile-ad soon...Whichever comes first.
