Sometime-Depeche Mode mainman returns with single number two from debut LP number one and - surprise, surprise - it's a piece of brooding Goth-pop in the vein of his old cohorts.
'I Need You' would have found much favour amongst moody, eye-linered youths of the 1980s, with Dave's bleak worldview intact: 'You'll always need me much more than I need you'. However, a contemporary audience should still be able to appreciate this ornate piece of blood-chilling, dark-disco.
