Grand Drive - 'A Little Like You' (Gravity)
4/5
By: Toby L

Judging from the likeably merry, alt-country stylings of 'A Little Like You', Grand Drive are possessive of the school-of-thought that 'song is all', that snidey glances and a beery swagger are sights to frown upon. And when the product is as fetchingly beautiful as this, you'd have to bear a heart of ice to disagree.
Maybe it's the Turin Brakes-esque, twinned vocals, or the shameless Gorky's Zygotic Mynci/T. Fanclub innocence, but what fervently provides the Grand Drive vehicle with so much mileage to its name and fuel to burn is a classicism and sincerity that should form an unshakeable prerequisite to any band attempting to achieve any level of notoriety in their career. With a bit of time, it'll earn these four misty-eyed travellers many hitchhikers along the way.
