'Gay pantomime rock'. The title hardly screams 'front-cover' now, does it?
Amusingly too, Scandinavia's The Hommos aren't even actively homosexual ('Hommos' means something very different in Swedish... check your dictionaries), but the personnel within Deltasonic's latest signings were so amused via the UK translation of their name that they decided to keep it adorned for all international-releases anyway. Now, that's punk.
And, ironically, it's fitting. Zappa-camp vocals, beefy solos and bouncy arrangements infringe the spinning-space of their frolicking pop-ridden debut-single, but its wayward, bubbling eccentricity may prove a touch too theatrical for true adoration at this present stage. God bless them for their sheer balls, though.
