JJ72 - 'Always & Forever' (Columbia)

One of the finer tracks from last year's all-too-commonly-overlooked 'I To Sky' LP, 'Always and Forever' is another chunk of appealing pomp-rock from the almost frighteningly intense, young Irish trio.
Throughout, Mark Greaney does a fine job of emulating a stadium-conquering Bono (choice lyric: 'Chariots of fire!!/And Chariots of Ice!!'); admittedly, it's hardly going to change the opinion of anybody who sees the band as somewhat overblown, but you can't help but admire the JJ's brash confidence.
