Rambunctious new kids Jonny Lives! best watch their tracks; a career thus far spent residing in NYC flats with members of The Strokes, and supporting heady visionaries as across the board as Stevie Wonder, Less Than Jake and The Wu-Tang Clan could bode more talk on their associates than their own produce.
Piffle-paffle. Their debut 'Tabloid Nation' EP is a five-track pop-er-coaster of instantly melodic, tirelessly energetic and endearing guitar-exertions - no matter the ballad-like harmonies of 'Do It Again', quirky indie bleariness of 'Lost My Mind' and college-rocker 'Secret' - enough to garner a sizeable pelvis-convulsion just from the mere press of play on a busted CD-player. Assured song-crafting, with enough bite and fervent choruses to trigger duplicate airings - just the trick.
