The Keys - 'Love Your Sons & Daughters' (Too Pure)

The Keys - 'Love Your Sons & Daughters'

As leader of one of the most criminally neglected acts of the late-90s - Welsh indie-psychedelic oddballs Murry The Hump - Matt Evans displayed glimpses of real songwriting genius.

His new band, The Keys, showcase an altogether darker side. The whimsical, slightly twee pop of yore has been replaced by edgy brittleness, as on the title-track, and scratchy, mournful introspection ('As Good As Glue'). Great to have him back.
