You have to wonder whether Kid Galahad swiped 'Swimming to Shore' from Suede's recording studio during the 'Coming Up' sessions...
You see, the similarities between this record and Brett and the lads' mid-90s zenith are uncanny: the 'Beautiful Ones' style intro, the lyrical 'fuel' images ('Is Your world just kicking to ignite?') let alone the vocals - it's all there. But, whilst drawing inspiration from others, this sound is most definitely Kid Galahad's own.
Saliently, all five singles from 'Coming Up' went-top 10. In a fair world, 'Swimming to Shore' would receive the same fate.
