Is that 'Connection'? No, actually it's a track by late 70s Brit art-punks Wire being sampled there. Elastica were evidently also very keen on 'Three Girl Rhumba' themselves though, of course.
And thus a riff that was originally given a new lease life in the 21st century thanks to its soundtracking the antics of a large man shouting into a novelty over-sized mobile phone is back again. This time, a mysterious Italian combo are responsible, complete with the vocal stylings of a chap sounding uncannily like Damon Albarn. Intriguing stuff.
