Lowgold - 'Beauty Dies Young' (Nude)

Lowgold are an anomaly in the UK 'indie' scene. Sounding more American than, er, Americans, this Nude signing first grasped media attention and public awareness after releasing the '108 EP': a dazzlingly beautiful combination of acoustic folk and harmonic lullabies.
Their finest moment on the EP, 'In Amber', is a rockfeedback favourite and the vein of Darren Ford's tender lyrics and warming vocals is evident on this, their second release, 'Beauty Dies Young'. The tempo is quicker, but the message is the same with a heart-breaking voice preaching the pain in his life. It sounds typical, but listening to their distinctive sound proves otherwise. Future releases from Lowgold are waited in baited breath.
