Quentin Tarantino meets Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, freakish London newcomers Ludes' debut is a pouting, racing piece of punk-sleaze-ska bounces and frolics, akin to The Coral getting beaten up in a cucumber-fight by The Libertines.
And if it weren't presented so lo-fi, rigorously ragged and horrendously haphazard, it mightn't work; yet, as the harmonica-blarin', bluesy second half of the double a-side proves ('Your Dog Don't Bite'), as long as the tunes are on clear view, there's little to shy from.
