'Capital Rocka' is the debut single from Luke and Liam May, hotly-tipped London brothers and long-time dance aficionados.
What we have here is three and a half minutes of tub-thumping Basement Jaxx-a-like hard-house, built
around a meaty guitar hook, which doesn't provoke mass unison dancing so much as reflections over how swish the production-technique is... So, impressive: yes - but innovative? There's still some work to be done on this part.
Diverting without entering any uncharted territory, the boys release a debut album 'Iron Stylings' later this month; hopefully it picks up where this leaves off - and improves it even further.
