Think Afrika Bambataa's worthy collaboration a few years back with Leftfield - the top-ten 'Afrika Shox' - and here we have the essence of Medicine 8's second single from their debut-LP, 'Iron Stylings'.
'Rock Music Pays Off' is the duo's ode to a sample made by a '15 minutes of fame' (so says the press-release) character in the shape of Wesley Willis, a man that delivered this turgid dance-groover's title in a snappy, broadcasted remark. It's altogether not massively inspiring. But will get those hips shaking loose from the immediate get-go - which, admittedly, must be the '8's primary goal anyway?
