In what is taken from the Rev's recent LP, 'All Is Dream', 'Nite & Fog' has - unlike its album, which has caused divide over its content - been received with open arms from press and fans alike? But, why?!Well, as exciting as it would be to tell you that music-buyers and critics are all wrong in this one, it can't be done, for this is - arguably - their finest single to date. In what is bathed amidst grand and heart-warming production, the bizarrely beautiful chorus is possibly the most tender and necessary thing you should hear to aid those post-summer blues. However, take away Dave Friddmann's fine engineering skills and what do you have without it, you may question...Well, on the 7", the actual b-side is the original four-track demo for 'Nite & Fog', void of spangling studio-production. And it's still utterly marvellous. Go on then, go buy...
