Chopping, scalding guitars and piercing, shrill vocals and the kind of hammering intensity that puts you off your dinner, and The Movielife's new single 'Jamestown' is officially certified instant-gold.
Impassioned, it's the sort of adorable emo-punk-hardcore that shape-shifts and morphs from politely violent to frantically aggressive as if the 'Pumpkins were inviting a stoned Raging Speedhorn to an egg and spoon race. 'Off to the hospital,' we hear hollered at one instance. With musical-blows this crushing, such a visit couldn't prove more overdue.
