Muse - 'Hysteria' (Taste Media / East West)

This single arrived at rockfeedback HQ in a package so aesthetically alluring that we almost chose not to open it at all (excuse us - but a clear CD, housed in a silver 'static shield bag' - gets the juices flowing just thinking about it, eh readers?). We're rather glad we did, though.
'Hysteria' really is a most thoroughly appropriate name for a Muse record, the kind we've grown to know and love. True to form, this is another example of the blend of riotous, blustering pomp-rock and ludicrous lyricism ('I feel my heart implode!' - poor Matt Bellamy, he does have a lot to deal with) that's become the Devon trio's most favourable trademark.
