Let it be documented and stated categorically: My Morning Jacket are one of the finest bands on the planet.
Want proof? We got proof. 'Run Thru' is a searing, soaring, majestic blend of classic, spiralling Hawkwind guitars and stoner-psychedelia vox (not half bearing a tinge of Thom Yorke, peculiarly), tinted with an unanticipated, stop-start middle-eight section that sounds like an African-punk, Kentucky barn-dance. Let alone the growling, thunderous outro.
Are we sold? Ha - after this, we want to be in the f**king band ourselves.
