OK Go - 'Get Over It' (Capitol)

Opening with a stadium-rock drum-clap, evoking all the classicism of a distant 'We Will Rock You', it's thankful that as the song reaches its key opening, we find that Chicago's marvellously-named OK Go are more a keyboard-doused Weezer than pomp-guitar superstars.
This, their debut-single, veers into the realms of 'recommended', if only for its bizarre series of calculated build-ups and break-downs, altogether forming the basis of a naggingly catchy, shameless pop-single - made all the more dynamically entrancing thanks to such fantastically timed, well-honed contrasts. Different then, but welcomingly so.
