Interspersing tradition with innovation, Beth Orton's rise and rise as a singer/songwriter is as justified a talent receiving its merit as they come.
With her latest foray into the singles-market via the elegant pop of 'Anywhere', she's as distinguished, lucid and tuneful as ever, her Two Lone Swordsman remix of the track providing an electronica-tinge to a piece whose original, also included on the release, is every bit as endearing, complete with trumpets and suitably lavish acoustic-guitar (as is her calling-card).
Oh, and that voice of hers sounds pretty excellent throughout, too.
