The Parkinsons - 'Streets Of London' (Fierce Panda)
3/5
By: Toby L

Portuguese/Scottish wonder-stuff, The Parkinsons, have been lighting up the UK live-circuit over the past year with their unique brand of skilful, unrelenting, pace-psyched garage-rock - which is often performed naked for full, bulldozing effect. And, now, after much anticipation and a semi-tantalising mini-LP, here it is: the group's debut EP, 'Streets Of London'.
Featuring three tracks of equally sexy fun 'n' frolics, describing and keeping up with this release can only be done so in a Formula One-esque, non-stop commentary - the thrashing guitars and vivacious vocals of 'Bedsit City' morphing into the sultry 'Somerstown', proceedings somewhat fittingly ending in a track whose title prescribes the medicinal-object needed in order to keep up with this quartet's frantic, refreshing energy - 'Pill'.
With enough here to hint that the group aren't slowing down for anyone just yet, the ride is going to remain quick, focussed and dangerously riveting for this very assiduous of acts.
