A sturdy introduction in every sense, Palo Alto are LA's latest four-guy guitarsome with a religious intent to serenade the soul and strum their way into your heart.
So, yes, 'Fade Out/In' could quite easily form the basis of what an American Mansun would sound like if they were fronted by Bono. Believe us, it sounds more peculiar than it actually is, with the grandiose chorus and chordy structure of the main tune and flip-sides as British as a quartet from the West Coast could possibly strive to be.
Promise is certainly evident - yet something to quicken the pulse a little further may prove a wise move for their ensuing, next platter.
