Radiohead - 'There There' (Parlophone)
4/5
By: Toby L

Let's face it: it wouldn't be Radiohead after all if it wasn't gonna grow on you.
So 'There There' is Thom Yorke and the boys' valiant return to the world of clangy guitars and catchy, heart-breaking choruses ('Just cos you feel it/Doesn't mean it's there...'), yet - initially - it's about as immediately embracing as contracting some kind of horrible foot-odour disease.
... Then a spin or two later...
'CLASSIC,' they'll hail - a fervent, joyous, self-assured, tear-jerking prowl of schizophrenic, frantic guitar-chimes and Yorkie Bar's terrifically beautiful voice, and a surging monster that thuds dreamily into a groovy explosion three minutes in. Thank f**k they're still with us.
