Relaxed Muscle - 'Billy Jack' / 'Sexualized'

Oh, Jarvo, Jarvo, Jarvo... One minute dashing from the sight of celebrity, for the dreamy allure of a happy marriage and fathering your child. The next - returning to the limelight in a tabloid-sensationalised, Rough Trade-signed, art-punk electro-sensation, Relaxed Muscle.

Except - officially, he's no longer J. Cocker, ex-lanky song-crafter of mid-90s definers, Pulp. But, now - he's Darren Spooner, a skeleton-costumed frontman of this avant-garde, jilted-pop outfit, crafting such club-bangers as the decadent, frankly hilarious, 'Sexualized' and mighty sonic-boom of 'Billy Jack', guitars doused in sleaze and keyboards/drum-machines cranked to the level marked 'blaring'. It's rougher than sex in a Glastonbury tent during one of the 'mud years'. Yet just as similarly enticing.
