Saliva - 'Always' (Mercury)

When a slab as meaty and produced as Saliva's 'Always' places itself at the forefront of a rock-based, TV request-show and squeezes its way on to radio playlists, you'd be forgiven for wondering if there's a way someone can water and cultivate their own tree of nu-metal anthem-generating.
Guitars more processed than a rancidly smelling dairy-product, to Saliva's credit, at least the knowledge that a competent, layered 'tune' may lead to greater recognition proves to further the band's credit, although this really isn't something that hasn't already infested our airwaves two years previous. The kids will love it, of course.
