'No one needs a woman, like I need you,' frontman of The Stands - Howie Payne - croons, Scouse and all, perhaps offering the most polite euphemism for 'I'm sexually frustrated, so give me one' ever.
But, on second thought, perhaps this is as earnest and pretty as its initial intentions are made out to be; the Dylan-y vox, a whirling, enveloping guitar-solo, twinned harmonies and a graceful, drowsy timelessness suggest that this lot are in it for the long haul. At least, we can only wish so.
