In the recent shady news of yet another member of rock 'n' roll parliament making an exit from the scene - T-Rex's Mickey Finn - it's quite fitting that Supergrass' latest, sure-fire excursion into the top-40 will result in an unsubtle tribute to Finn's most notable musical-associates.
And playing Bolan as sassily and jaggedly playful as the master-legend himself is Gaz Coombes, accompanied by a chorus of bittersweet harmonies and enough 70's flare and sheep sound-effects to prompt an almighty barrage of bewilderment. Just Supergrass at their usual, impeccably high-standard then.
