We were never gonna have a bad word to say about The Tenderfoot, were we? A band that graced a memorable Brighton special at rockfeedback's monthly The Basement Club evening back in February, they've now mastered not just the live-arena, yet clearly also the conversion into the studio.
A second, limited-edition single to date, 'Waking Me Up Again' is a delicate, brittle and extremely fragile, intimate portrayal of the band's unique, tuneful and sparse series of dynamics; whirling synthesisers, vocalist Darren's Gruff-Rhys-like drawl, and intertwining guitars so beautiful you swear you skip a heartbeat. Intensity is seldom served so warmly restrained.
