When singer of Whirlwind Heat, David Swanson, begins screaming at the top of his lungs, 'THIS IS A GOOD DAY!!', in a seemingly deluded, cocaine-induced paranoia, you can't help wondering with terror just what a 'bad day' would constitute for someone so frightfully minded.
And there's more of where this came from on the flip-side; 'Auto Modown' sounds like a holocaust, should it be produced by A-list indie-chums Brendan Benson and Jack White at the helm, screwed-up, dramatic jazz with messy Moog keyboards and precision bass.
If it weren't so frightening, you'd presume there's a tune lurking underneath it all somewhere.
