The White Stripes - 'Seven Nation Army'

Now that they've been elevated to a level of critical immunity enjoyed by the global music elite, can one do anything but hail unreservedly the world's favourite purveyors of primordial, unprocessed blues-rawk? Probably not.

Steadfastly adhering to their patented 'less is more' philosophy, the first single lifted from Jack and Meg's universally lauded fourth album 'Elephant' contains all the features we've come to expect of the Stripes; a simple minimalist riff, an ardent vocal squawk and a frenzied, fervid chorus. Resistance? Yep, it's pretty much completely futile.
