A Muse greatest-hits record hotchpotched into a five-minute furore of all that's immense about Devonshire's finest threesome, 'Stockholm Syndrome' sees Matt Bellamy's concentrated-assault of a trio on truly unstoppable, blaring, musically-enviable form.
The growling, 'Pumpkins-esque opening riffage; Bellamy's typically over-the-top, all-encompassing vocal shudder and unrepressed rage; and a melting, piano-layered chorus that evokes all the classicism of memorable, early career standout, 'Sunburn'.
Terrifying, massive and unleashed, Muse's anticipated return sees the group enter the elevated heights of, at last, being crowned kings of the angst-rock hierarchy - a pedestal it would seem difficult to ever envisaging them leave.
