Emo. Maybe.
A repetitive, simple chord-pattern, timed panting and dark stutter make for one shady, itchy, sore record. Images of street corners and mysterious, smirking strangers watching you from the shadows, spill into their sexual lyricism.
Yes, Brand New may have the pre-baked potential to be dubbed 'emo', but this record certainly doesn't represent them in that topical light. It's far more than that.
