The orgasmic-esque relief amid Snow Patrol's band-quarters must be somewhat overpowering. Years in this cutthroat game, and 'Run' marks the final signs of wider-spread recognition.
Deservedly so. This is a 'Yellow'-paced slug-rocker with brittle, rattling guitars and elevating strings, capped by vocalist Gary Lightbody's charm-yer-pants-off, Irish husk and signs of a mesmerising song-craft matched by few in the current climate. Here's to fast-approaching just desserts.
