'Spinning' plumps along like a chunky denim-wearing marshmallow. As it passes Toploader in the door of the chippie, the ever-so-tidy Burtons boys lean out of their flat windows to catch a glimpse of this new hot shot - Clarkesville.
And what have this Michael Clarke and his chumps got to offer? Perfectly polished indie pop, with ever-so-slick production, chiming guitars and appropriately low and gruffly yet incredibly clear and soothing vocals?
Nice; we're buying.
... Thus will be echoed around the land by Travis' old skool fan-base and the trendy bloke on the corner that insists he's 'indie'. The new album 'The Half Chapter' will fly off the shelves and 'Spinning' will be no doubt be another daytime Radio One/Whiley smash hit. And, mysteriously, no-one's quite sure why.
