The Rapture - 'Love Is All' (Vertigo)

4/5

The Rapture - 'Love Is All'

Bolstered, new production from legendary producer and record-exec of the band's own label, Steve Lillywhite, and The Rapture's ebuillent, chiming 'Love Is All' becomes one of 2004's instant feelgood anthems of the... waning winter.

Whatever the climate, however, you envisage The Rapture excelling; chipper keyboards mince about the place alongside down-stroked guitars, while vocalist Luke Jenner continues his much-favoured impersonation of Michael Jackson (if MJ's head were in a vice). And you thought it ended there - b-side, and album-track, 'I Need Your Love', is similarly rampant in its rave-like, druggy haze; mmm, euphoria, kids.
