The Poppy Fields - '45 RPM'

Apparently wont to reflecting their heroes The Sex Pistols, The Buzzcocks et al, it's little shock that 'young', Brit try-it-on's The Poppy Fields' debut-single sounds like a complete rip-off of the above.

In an up-to-date sense, however; with fellow scene-entrants The Ordinary Boys looking back to move forward (and with a debut-single also out in the same fortnight), perhaps this is the age of robust, punk snottiness as a revolt to the deluge of pitiful (over-sized) reality-pop showcasing? Whatever, let's just pray we don't see the lead-singer end up on 'I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here' in 20 years' time.
