Belle & Sebastian - 'I'm A Cuckoo'

Having attempted a bit of sauciness in the shape of 'Step Into My Office, Baby', B & S return to good ol' sprightly, fey pop once more.

Yet, bizarrely, it bears more than a passing resemblance to Thin Lizzy's 'The Boys Are Back In Town'; knowingly, a picture of The 'Lizzy's bassist Phil Lynott adorns the sleeve (possibly). So 'I'm A Cuckoo' (and there's a title that'll fend off all those critics who accuse the band of being oppressively twee) is, as always, a dainty little pleasure. And really, you've got to admire their lack of scepticism - how many other bands would even attempt a line like 'I'm a little lost sheep'?
