Despite critical acclaim and a couple of real aces, Elbow's debut LP 'Asleep In The Back' proved just a little too morose for some tastes.
But for the duration of the towering, sumptuous 'Not A Job', all traces of grimy miserablism are banished. This is the sound of a band finding their feet and standing proud. Absolutely, wrenchingly gorgeous.
