Not Katies - 'Repeat Repeat' (Deckcheese)

Not Katies are part of a genre without any grand claims - you know exactly what you're getting. Quite simply, this is Music To Jump Up and Down To (with heartfelt lyrics).
But as Funeral For a Friend have shown, there's plenty of life left in the movement. Not Katies, makers of above-par, blustering emo-ska-punk, do have feeling - see 'Strike It, Reverse It' and 'The Hope You Choke'. They come from Southampton, but sing in American accents. They have an obligatory slowie on this EP called 'The Saccharine Sweet.' Formulaic, of course, but it's a recipe that doesn't show any signs of diminishing returns just yet.
