The Shins - 'So Says I' (Sub Pop)
4/5
By: Toby L

Fin-f**k-ally - a proper UK/Euro release of The Shins, one of the most vital new (Sub) pop-talents to have graced our collective stereos and cramped basement-club stages the world over for a fist-full of years.
And 'So Says I' is a valid initiation-point; vocals and guitars bounce and shimmer in Coral-y immediacy and urgent, willing quirkiness, and spider-y keyboards enlace with chipper rhythm-parts to form the spring's most jubilant, jaunty knees-up we've thus far stumbled upon. Bettered only by the realisation that there's an album of such splendid matter on their second, forthcoming LP 'Chutes Too Narrow'. Go rummage.
