Seafood - 'Summer Falls' (Cooking Vinyl)
4/5
By: Toby L

Self-confessors that prior material of theirs heralded 'songs behind the noise', apparently, with Seafood's latest, third record 'As The Cry Flows', the story is reversed; 'noise behind the songs', we're now promised.
At last, too. Because Seafood have always been one of those awkward sets of gifted underachievers whose capability and vision consistently hinted to more than actually obtained. In their latest single - a download-only 45, 'Summer Falls' - when vocalist David Line bellows, 'We're in a world gone mad, honey', against a wailing backdrop of escalating reverb and harmonic backing-vox, it's conceded that this is the sort of rock-majesty that potent, intoxicating dreams are made of. They've made it, then.
